Ortiz Powers Sox Past Indians (5/22/16)

Why does David Ortiz have to retire? In his final season, Ortiz is arguably the best hitter in the game. He proved it today by almost singlehandedly beating the Cleveland Indians himself. The Sox got some shut-down bullpen help as the Sox won 5-2 at Fenway Park.

Another great win and the team desperately needed it to keep pace with the Baltimore Orioles. Porcello wasn't at his best but he still improved to 7 wins on the season, almost totaling last year. The win improved the Sox to 27-17, percentage points behind Baltimore for first place in the AL East. After an off-day the Sox play the Colorado Rockies for 3 games. Game 1 is Tuesday Night at 7:05 with David Price taking on Jorge De La Rosa.
