Today the Boston Red Sox essentially told Kyle Kendrick to get out and stay out as he was removed from the 40 man roster. Austin Maddox reported to Pawtucket and was activated for tonight's PawSox game. The Portland Sea Dogs promoted prospects Michael Chavis and Chad De La Guerra from Salem, Chavis could be something someday. The Salem Red Sox promoted Torey Luvello's son Nick and Stephen Nogosek from Greenville, good news for Nick. The Greenville Drive added prospect Kyle Hart from the Gulf Coast Red Sox, look for him in the future too.

Tomorrow afternoon the Sox will be retiring David Ortiz number in a special ceremony before they take on the Los Angeles Angels. "Slick" Rick Porcello (3-9) takes on Alex Meyer of the Angels at 1:05 PM at Fenway Park.
