Off-Day News (8/19/21)

Today is an off-day but the Boston Red Sox made a roster move that should have happened months ago. Matt Andriese was given his official release two days after being designated for assignment. The Sox will be bringing up the kids in a few weeks and the additions of both Austin Davis and Hansel Robles spelled doom for Matt. We wish him well in his future endeavors.

The Sox look to rebound from getting swept by the New York Yankees when they take on the Texas Rangers tomorrow night. Chris Sale (1-0) makes his second start of the season against Dave Dunning of the Rangers. The game begins at 7:10 PM at Fenway Park.
