Final Thoughts:
This season went to hell in a handbasket real quick. Too many injuries to too many key players as well as bad defense and bad relief pitching killed the season early. The Sox are five games under .500 and its beyond time to let Cora go. Every year they come out flat as a pancake and terrible defensively and don't pick things up until June. Well its June and the team still looks terrible. If it wasn't for Garrett Crochet this team would have no hope at all and be totally unwatchable. The Sox being unable to score in the bottom of the tenth with a runner at second is a microcosm of the season. They're just not good enough and there's still 99 games remaining, good grief. The loss dropped the Sox to 29-34, 10 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East. The Sox look to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon when Lucas Giolito goes for the Sox against Jose Soriano of Los Angeles. The game begins at 1:35 PM at Fenway Park.
