Game Postponed....Once Again (5/21/01)

Once again the Boston Pilgrims had to postpone a baseball game only this time it wasn't because of their own field. The Sox were supposed to open up a three game set with the Detroit Tigers today but heavy rainfall last in in Detroit made the ground too soggy to play on. Pilgrims manager Jimmy Collins and Tigers manager George Stallings both said it wasn't worth getting anyone hurt, so call it. The game will be played Saturday, August 31st as apart of a double header.

The Sox look to finally play a game tomorrow afternoon against the Detroit Tigers. Ted Lewis (3-2) looks to be facing Ed Siever at 3:05 PM Eastern time at Bennett Park.
