Its an off-day for the Boston Red Sox but they made a roster move. Ellis Burks was finally placed on the Disabled List with torn cartilage in his knee. He's been gutting it out the past few weeks but if he can barely move, then its time to get it fixed. Its been a hell of a comeback for Burks who left town 12 years ago only to return after finding success in Colorado. Its too bad his body couldn't hold up. The Sox will most likely call up Brian Daubach to take his place but it hasn't been made official yet. There's another one with a comeback story although its not as epic as Burks.
OUTThe Sox now come home to face the Tampa Bay Devil Rays tomorrow night. Curt Schilling gets the start against Paul Abbott of the Rays. The game begins at 7:05 PM at Fenway Park.
