Bizarre Day News (8/22/19)

Today was technically an off-day although the Boston Red Sox concluded their August 7th game with the Kansas City Royals. Josh Taylor got the win with a scoreless 10th inning.

Brock "The Hitman" Holt delivered the walkoff hit 12 minutes after the game resumed.

Final Thoughts:

Good win today I guess but the bottom line is the Sox are reeling from their backbreaking losses to Philly. The fact the Sox are 3-59 when trailing after 6 innings is mind boggling. This team never comes back, ever. The miserable season trudges on and tomorrow night the Sox are out on the West Coast to play the San Diego Padres. Eduardo Rodriguez (14-5, 4.10 ERA) goes for the Sox up against Chris Paddack at 10:10 PM Eastern Time at Petco Park.
