The Boston Red Sox made a roster move when they placed Hector "The Insurance Policy" Velazquez on the 10 Day Injured list with a back strain. In his place the Sox called up number 21 ranked prospect Mike Shawaryn from Pawtucket. Considering everyone else they bring up fails, why not him too?

Tonight's game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees has been rained out. The game will be made up as a second game of a doubleheader on August 3rd later this year.
