The good news was the Boston Bruins defeated the Montreal Canadiens in Game 1 of their first round NHL playoff series but the bad news was the Boston Red Sox game against the Chicago White Sox was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on September 3rd now.
