Its official, after the New York Yankees defeated the Oakland A's in tonight's wild card game its going to be Boston Red Sox vs Yankees for the first time since 2004. As fans chanted "We want Boston! We want Boston!" pitching matchups have already been announced.
Its been a long time coming since the last two times they met in the playoffs and this had to be the year. Both teams have won 100 games or more and the Yankees were the pre-season pick to win the World Series.
Game 1 will be Friday night at 8:30 PM with JA Happ taking on Chris Sale at Fenway Park.
