During today's off-day the Boston Red Sox made some roster moves. Marwin Gonzalez was officially released while Connor Wong and Franchy Cordero were sent down to Worcester. Taking Franchy's spot will be Travis Shaw who was activated today. With the acquisition of Schwarber and now Shaw, the underperformed Gonzalez was expendable. Cordero amd Wong will be back in two weeks when rosters expand.

The Sox are back in action tomorrow for a doubleheader against the New York Yankees. Tanner Houck goes in Game 1 against Jordan Montgomery of the Yankees. The first game starts at 1:05 PM at Yankee Stadium.
