Final Thoughts:
The Red Sox have found a way to beat other teams, run them out of the ballpark. The Sox as a team had 5 steals and they got some longball help from Duran and Valdez. Still, on a day where Rafael Devers goes 0 for 5 and the Sox still put up 7 runs is a good sign. As long as Hamilton, Duran and others can keep running like this, they'll be able to score runs consistently. Bello pitched well tonight and that's what the Sox are going to need going forward if they have any hope of getting back in the AL East race. Wins like this will help big time. The win improved the Sox to 40-35, 10.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East. After an off-day tomorrow the Sox look to continue their winning ways against the Cincinnati Reds in Cincinnati. Kutter Crawford (3-6) takes on Andrew Abbott of the Reds this Friday night at 8:10 PM eastern time at Great American Ballpark.
