Rainout News: (7/21/26)

Tonight's game between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles has been rained out and postponed. Rather than make the game up on Thursday, both teams decided to play a doubleheader tomorrow and keep the off-day.
                                                              No game tonight

In other news the Red Sox technically brought up Zack Kelly from Worcester but they placed him on the 60 day Injured List, apparently his elbow is shot again. This clears up a 40 man roster spot which they'll need when certain guys start coming back.
                                                                Get well soon

Finally the Greenville Drive cut their losses with right handed pitcher Danny Kirwin. He was signed in April of 2024 as a minor league free agent and did relatively well with the Salem Red Sox going 4-3 with a 3.63 ERA. Then in 2025 he was 6-5 with a 5.18 ERA with the Drive although he did a 1 game cup of coffee with the Portland Sea Dogs. This year he's allowed 26 runs in 25 innings and Greenville said enough is enough. Its a shame he regressed so hard this year but there was a reason why he went undrafted.
                                                                    Bye bye Kirwin

The Sox play a doubleheader tomorrow against the Baltimore Orioles with Game 1 featuring Jake Bennett (5-3, 2.35 ERA) taking on Dean Kremer of Baltimore. The game begins at 1:35 PM at Fenway Park.
