Jackass of The Night is Jarren Duran. The Sox had just climbed back in the game and his inability to play center opened the floodgates, making several bad plays.

JD Martinez was 1 for 3 with a walk.
Eric Hosmer was 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored.
Reese McGuire was 2 for 4 with a run scored.
Ryan Brasier pitched a scoreless sixth inning.
Matt Barnes tossed 2/3 of a scoreless inning.
The Bad:

Kutter Crawford took the loss allowing 5 runs in 5 innings off 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4.
John Schreiber was charged with 2 runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Darwinzon Hernandez was charged with 5 runs without recording an out.
Austin Davis allowed 3 inherited runners to score and one of his own in an inning of work.
The Ugly:
Rafael Devers was just 1 for 5 but the one hit was a home run.
Xander Bogaerts was just 1 for 4.
Christian Arroyo was just 1 for 4 with a strikeout but scored a run.
Final Thoughts:
This game (and season) was a disaster class for Chaim Bloom and Alex Cora. Bloom released Jackie Bradley Jr after the disastrous Hunter Renfroe trade and Cora continues to put Duran in center when he clearly has no idea what he's doing. The bullpen once again got blasted but when you lose almost all of your starting rotation to injury, you can see why they're toast. Giving up 13 runs to the damn Kansas City Royals is flat out embarrassing. Darwinzon Hernandez couldn't have gotten me out today and looked awful. To quote the great Sam The Eagle, everything stinks. Worst part is there's still 52 games left of torture to go before the season is over. It'll be a miracle if Chaim Bloom survives the whole season after the disaster this year was. Bargain bin shopping for starters and they all got hurt and now the bullpen has lost it. The season can't end fast enough. The loss dropped the Sox to 54-56, good for last place in the AL East. After an off-day tomorrow the Sox now come home to face the defending World Series Champion Atlanta Braves. Rich Hill goes for the Sox against Charlie Morton this Tuesday night at 7:10 PM at Fenway Park.
