Final Thoughts:
The Rays have been red hot lately and they just showed you why. Even down 9-4 they still rally to make a game of it against the Red Sox. Good on the Boston bats to wake up in this one, specifically Plawecki, Dalbec and Cordero. Those guys haven't done much this year but the Sox don't win the game without them. Bogaerts finally hit another home run as a lot of people believe he wanted out of town and is pouting that he wasn't traded. The season isn't over yet but the Sox need to go on a run if they have any hope to play October baseball. Wacha got knocked around a bit but nothing compared to Brasier. Hopefully he can bounce back next time. The win improved the Sox to 61-65, good for last place in the AL East. The Sox look to make it two in a row tomorrow afternoon against the Rays when Rich Hill (5-5) takes on old friend Jeffrey Springs of Tampa. The game begins at 4:05 PM at Fenway Park.
