Final Thoughts:
The White Sox are red hot right now and the Pilgrims can't hang with them. Clark Griffith took them to the woodshed in Game 1 and now Roy Patterson outpitched Cyclone Young. The Pilgrims clearly don't have the pitching to match Chicago so they're going to have to scour the semi-pros for anyone that can pitch better than this. When Cyclone Young can't save you, you know you're in trouble. Not kicking the ball around would be nice as well. The loss dropped the Pilgrims to 11-13, 8 games behind the White Sox for first place in the American League. The Pilgrims look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon when Ted Lewis (4-2) take son John Skopec of Chicago. The game begins at 2:20 PM at South Side Park.
