Rainout News (6/6/26)

Tonight's game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox has been postponed due to rain and will now be apart of an August 29th day/night doubleheader.

In terms of roster moves, Jovani Moran was placed on the 15 day Injured List with left elbow inflammation and Alec Gamboa has been called up to replace him. Patrick Sandoval is just about ready for his debut so this is just rearranging the Titanic deck chairs.

In other news, Garrett "The Lock" Whitlock was sent to Worcester for some rehab work. He reportedly slipped on the mound during that rainy game and his knee buckled. It sounds like he's going to be okay.
                                                                   Coming back soon

Lastly, Jeremy Wu-Yelland begins his rehab with the Florida Complex Sox. He had a pretty good season for Portland last season and this might be his last chance to show something. He was drafted six years ago and its been one injury after another.
About to make his season debut

The Sox return to action tomorrow afternoon when Ranger Suarez (2-3, 3.38 ERA) takes the mound against Walpole's own Cam Schittler of the New York Yankees. The game begins at 1:35 PM at Yankee Stadium.
