Final Thoughts:
Why can't the Sox play the rest of their games on the road? They play a lot better for whatever reason. The sad part is THIS is what Sox GM Craig Breslow was hoping for with the young guns Mayer, Durbin and Narvaez driving in runs with Suarez pitching well. The sad part is Durbin's hot streak has his batting average at .203 and Duran is down to .210. Mayer is .222 and Narvaez is .202. That's pretty much four automatic outs and you can't win with that. Still, for one night the sophomores got it done. Suarez had a no-hitter going for 6 2/3 and if it wasn't for Kahnle, it would have been another shutout win. The rumors are swirling of who's going to get traded but winning cures everything. It would be nice to see them go on a win streak but they're allergic to momentum. The win improved the Sox to 30-43, good for last place in the AL East. The Sox look to make it two in row tomorrow night in Seattle when Connelly Early (5-5, 3.81 ERA) looks to get back on track against Emerson Hancock. The game begins at 10:10 PM at T-Mobile Park.
