Today is an off-day and the Boston Red Sox organization made some roster moves. As expected Franchy Cordero was sent back down to Worcester after the Little League Classic. Least he went out with a bang before he left. In another move, with this year's draft class in the Florida Complex League, 23 year old right handed pitcher Barbaro Pinero was released. Pinero somehow allowed 11 runs in 3 games without recording an out for the Salem Red Sox although he did have a 2.38 ERA for the FCL. With all the pitchers the Sox drafted with higher ceilings that are there now, having a guy go 3 games without getting an out isn't what the team needs.
